Properties:
White or translucence crystalline powder. Hard and brittle, Slightly bitter and Hygroscopic. Soluble in alcohol and glycerin, slowly dissolved in 30 parts cold water or 5 parts boiling water. Relative density is 2.46(crystal). Melting point 450ºC(crystal).
Application:
High purity Boron Oxide widely used for metallurgy, fusing assistant of silicate, dopant of semiconductor materials, catalyzer on organic synthesis, additives of heat-resistant glassware and fireproof paint. Also, it can be used for preparing element boron and fine boron compounds, manufacturing high quality boron glass, optical glass, heat-resistant glass and glass fiber, etc..
